Spent a month apprenticing at SLOT Limited, eight hours a day on the repair bench. Learned to identify components on sight and trace faults back through the hardware, working with the GSM technology underneath it. Repair teaches diagnosis better than anything else I have done, because you cannot guess your way to a fix. You have to understand what the system is actually doing.
